Just a hint when changing data via a quick insert template – it is worth realising that if you need to clear a field (for instance moving data to another field or removing it all together), you need to place a single quote followed by space in the Excel®  sheet for the value being cleared.

For instance if you had the following addresses in your database;

Address1 Address2 Address3 Address4
44 Smith St Somewhere 2223

 

…But wanted to clear Address1 (effectively moving all fields across), you would need to place a single quote and space in the field to be loaded. If you don’t do this, the quick insert template will think that nothing is being done to the field and will not remove the value.

Address1 Address2 Address3 Address4
44 Smith St Somewhere  2223
