What I do at Kilimanjaro

My role at Kilimanjaro is to aid the staff/consultants with any IT queries they may have. These tasks change on a daily basis, from simple OS optimisation tasks to project work on our SharePoint system. I enjoy working with new system deployment and configuring start up services for new employees. I also play a role in the Sales team where I enter and update information about prospective future clients.

What I bring to the tribe

Whilst I study Information Technology at university, I am aiming to assist and provide input on how to better enhance Kilimanjaro’s technologies and methods of communication. Every day I bring my willingness to learn and strive to keep up to date with all processes, both business and IT-related.

What I bring to the tribe

I have been very fortunate to work in a wide variety of companies over the years.  This has given me exposure to many different systems, processes and people.  Invaluable experience which I treasure.  I believe that my varied administration, finance and payroll skills allows me to do ANYTHING and what I don’t know I’ll find out.  I will give any task a go!  I love sorting out account queries, getting accounts up to date and reconciling.  I have trained people and setup account processes for various businesses.  I have strong communication skills and have no issues working with clients, accounts staff, management and accountants to achieve the required outcome.    I set high standards for myself and I like to learn new things every day.  I can’t sit still for too long, so if I’ve got nothing to do, I will look for something, anything.   I have been using MYOB Exo since MYOB first bought the product approx 10 years ago.  I am also proficient in Quickbooks, Quickpayroll, MYOB Premier, MS Word, Excel.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

My primary role is to provide internal support to all Kilimanjaro employees. This includes support to sales team, implementation team, support team, training team, and accounts team. My job is to make sure the Kilimanjaro tribe is running smoothly on a daily basis, and everyone is working happily and can have easy access to internal supplies.

I  am in charge of all clients’ license needs such as license renewal, additional license requirements etc. I need to make sure all of our clients can get their licenses renewed before the expiry date so they won’t have any issues when accessing EXO.

I also take care of administrative enquiries or correspondence with the clients. This is to make sure the general enquiries are always attended to and that our clients can have a good understanding of Kilimanjaro procedures.

What I bring to the Tribe

I have a Bachelor degree of Finance from Tongji University in China. I received my Masters degree of Professional Account from The University Of New South Wales. I have been with Kilimanjaro for 5 years, and prior to this I worked for two years at SPDB which is one of the biggest commercial banks in China. This gave me great experience in using banking and information systems.

My accounting knowledge and time management skills help me to become a confident user of EXO and manage my daily tasks effectively. I am a very well organized and out-going person. This contributes to the friendly working environment at Kilimanjaro.

Lastly, I am also a native Chinese speaker. This comes handy when we communicate with clients from a Chinese background.
