What I do at Kilimanjaro

I believe in this concept: what you know is not important but what you do with what you know is important / matters more. This allows me to provide business consulting services by engaging with all stakeholders (both external and internal); gathering, understanding and filtering their points of view; and converting them into viable business tools within an ERP system, which then lets businesses make better decisions. I plan, evaluate, execute, manage and review all my implementation projects so that the client receives value and reward for engaging us as their business partner.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

I provide support to customer queries in the MYOB EXO Payroll, time and attendance, and my staff information software, as well as run the Melbourne MYOB EXO Payroll training courses.

What I bring to the Tribe

An understanding and experience with the various MYOB software including  EXO Payroll, time and attendance , my staff information software, MYOB Advanced Business and MYOB Advanced Sales and being able to understand the areas of pain and provide prompt solutions to our clients.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

My role at Kilimanjaro is to help our southern prospects to realise the potential of scalable, whole of business ERP solutions, and how they can be used to assist growth, alleviate pain, and give them a competitive advantage.  My job starts with a discussion about the prospect’s business, what difficulties they face, and what new functionality they can expect from an ERP solution.  We discuss the impact of growth on the business.  We look at the new pains and the existing ones, and what work-a-rounds, add-ons and disparate systems are still being used, and how they affected the business.  I then introduce the prospect to the benefits of partnering with Kilimanjaro using either MYOB EXO or MYOB Advanced to tackle the future.

What I bring to the tribe

As an education graduate of the state-school-closure-period of the 90’s, I had to stop and re-evaluate my future.  My interests in computers and system design lead me to information technology sales.  Starting on the phones making appointments for my seniors, I quickly moved to selling software and hardware in my own right. Eventually, I found myself in the boardrooms of my clients, talking to the directors about their business pains.  I came to Kilimanjaro Consulting with 10 years of consulting experience, helping business to benefit from technology.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

Being part of the projects team, my role is about delivering solutions that will bring business improvement to our clients. To achieve this, I combine the holy triangle of:

  • Understanding computers
  • Understanding business processes
  • Understanding people and how they interact with computers and business processes.

What I bring to the tribe

Having worked with Exo for 9 years, I bring experience ranging from support to implementation and training. The areas that I have extensive experience on are clarity, with considerable experience working on complex clarity forms and reports, SQL and job costing. My skills also include financial accounting, having worked in a financial planning firm before entering the Exo world.

My role within Kilimanjaro is to understand each client’s needs, and then design/implement a tailored solution to meet their expectations of EXO.

What I bring to the tribe

More than 5 years EXO commercial consulting experience along with EXO end user and Accounting/Finance background, which enables me to quickly locate the key issues behind each client enquiry and provide a mature solution, not only via EXO/Clarity functionality but also SQL programmability.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

As a support consultant, I assist our clients with the day-to-day operation of their Exonet systems.  As such, I respond to request for changes and enhancements and, through getting to know our clients and their businesses, help them identify areas and processes where an appropriate, technical solution can benefit their operations whilst sitting in awe of Stuart’s beard.

What I bring to the tribe

With a strong background in business software systems and relationship building, I am able to build close, working relationships with clients and help them to get the most out of their systems.  I also bring the ability to bring disparate functions and processes together into innovative solutions to problems and an enviable repertoire of bad puns.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

My tribe responsibilities include EXO implementation, Process improvement, EXO support, and EXO training (End User, Administrator, Clarity Beginners, Clarity Intermediate and Customised Onsite training) wherein my 12 years of EXO experience was utilised coupled with my logical troubleshooting skills and vast knowledge in Microsoft SQL Servers. I also conduct EXO Demo and company visit if requested.

Working under the Tribal Chief, I recently have received the honour and duty of managing our fellow tribe In Melbourne.

What I bring to the Tribe

I was originally a member of the Exonet team in NZ, when the software was still known as ‘Exonet 3000’. I worked at MYOB for 8 years as the Support and Training Manager and then joined Kilimanjaro tribe in February 2008.
