What I do at Kilimanjaro

My role is to manage the support process for Kilimanjaro’s MYOB Advanced clients.  Support cases for MYOB Advanced are logged with us by email, phone or through our customer portal. My first responsibility is to triage the cases to identify which ones are the most urgent. I assist clients by being the first responder to any issue they have, from a simple “how do I do this”, to assisting with critical cases. I solve as many cases as I can myself, consult with my colleagues, and escalate issues to MYOB where necessary.

What I bring to the tribe

I have a background in management accounting and IT and have considerable experience supporting clients in financial applications over the last 15 years.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family on the northern beaches, mountain biking with mates, and following the mighty All Blacks.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

As an Implementation consultant, I assist new clients in scoping, applying and managing their Exo implementation as smoothly as possible and within a strict timeline. I focus on maximising the benefit of Exo for each new implementation and also on building a lasting relationship with the client.

What I bring to the tribe

I am a CPA and I have over 5 years of experience in ERP consulting. Each implementation project is unique and therefore I enjoy learning new businesses, processes, technology and definitely meeting new people. To be a part of the Kilimanjaro tribe is an absolute joy!

What I do at Kilimanjaro

I provide support to customer queries in the MYOB EXO Payroll, time and attendance, and my staff information software, as well as run the Melbourne MYOB EXO Payroll training courses.

What I bring to the Tribe

An understanding and experience with the various MYOB software including  EXO Payroll, time and attendance , my staff information software, MYOB Advanced Business and MYOB Advanced Sales and being able to understand the areas of pain and provide prompt solutions to our clients.

What I do at to Kilimanjaro

I am focused on delivering specialist report writing services to clients using MYOB EXO Clarity ReportWriter tool, Microsoft SSRS, ODBC Excel Reports and other report writing, dashboarding and Business Intelligence tools.

What I bring to the Tribe

I have 9 years experience involving data administration, analysis, data warehousing and reporting projects using MSSQL Server,  Reporting Services, Oracle, and other report writing tools. My people skills are also enhanced by working in diverse cultures across various environments.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

I am an Implementation Consultant for the MYOB Advanced team and my role is to assist bigger businesses in reaching new heights by designing and configuring an ERP system that’s efficient and intuitive. I work closely with clients to ensure that the software meets their needs, and that it integrates with their existing environment.

What I bring to the tribe

With a background in corporate financial accounting and external auditing, I bring an insider’s point of view of how companies work. I put myself in the shoes of the client – anticipating their needs and making sure that the transition is easy for the end users while catering for their growing requirements.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

Being part of the projects team, my role is about delivering solutions that will bring business improvement to our clients. To achieve this, I combine the holy triangle of:

  • Understanding computers
  • Understanding business processes
  • Understanding people and how they interact with computers and business processes.

What I bring to the tribe

Having worked with Exo for 9 years, I bring experience ranging from support to implementation and training. The areas that I have extensive experience on are clarity, with considerable experience working on complex clarity forms and reports, SQL and job costing. My skills also include financial accounting, having worked in a financial planning firm before entering the Exo world.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

My primary role is focussed on delivering support for the MYOB EXO product to clients through our support desk.

What I bring to the tribe

I have a bachelor degree in Business Administration and over 17 years of experience within the Information Technology industry. During this period I had the opportunity to work with a diverse number of technologies such as Delphi, Quick Report, Databases SQL Server and Oracle, Oracle E-Business Suite and recently Myob Exo. I also helped the Tribe to complete the World Map since the only missing continent was South America. Not anymore. 🙂

What I do at Kilimanjaro

My role within Kilimanjaro is to understand each client’s needs, and then design/implement a tailored solution to meet their expectations of EXO.

What I bring to the tribe

More than 5 years EXO commercial consulting experience along with EXO end user and Accounting/Finance background, which enables me to quickly locate the key issues behind each client enquiry and provide a mature solution, not only via EXO/Clarity functionality but also SQL programmability.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

I provide solutions to customers in a wide range of areas relating to EXO Business; from processing enquiries, building reports to technical questions.  I enjoy sharing my knowledge with both customers and within the tribe to empower EXO Business users with the knowledge to get the most out of their system, to make the system work for them.

What I bring to the tribe

Having worked with EXO Business since 2010 I have many years of experience with the software. I enjoy delving in deeper to learn more and more about the products.  I have had the opportunity to work with some great people that have imparted some great skills which I have a passion to share with the Tribe.  Some of these skills include scripting with SQL, Delphi programing and website development. Whilst I do not consider myself a programmer or web developer, the exposure I have had helps me to understand what is possible when it comes to customising your system to work for you, and where the limitations are.

Prior to working with EXO Business I have implemented and trained users of other software packages. I have also spent a number of years working in stock control and accounts based roles. This gives me a wide range of knowledge of working on both sides of a software package, as end user and supporting end users.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

As a support consultant, I assist our clients with the day-to-day operation of their Exonet systems.  As such, I respond to request for changes and enhancements and, through getting to know our clients and their businesses, help them identify areas and processes where an appropriate, technical solution can benefit their operations whilst sitting in awe of Stuart’s beard.

What I bring to the tribe

With a strong background in business software systems and relationship building, I am able to build close, working relationships with clients and help them to get the most out of their systems.  I also bring the ability to bring disparate functions and processes together into innovative solutions to problems and an enviable repertoire of bad puns.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

I provide support for EXO Business and help with any tough questions that come up when converting clients from AccountRight to EXO.

What I bring to the tribe

I have a background in technical support and education in accounting software.  I worked for MYOB and an internet startup supporting clients and training staff on accounts processes.

What I do at Kilimanjaro

Receive and respond to a wide variety of specialist support problems with the MYOB EXO suite of modules.

Working in support requires patience, persistence and understanding, as well as extremely good communication skills to give the best support for the client.

What I bring to the Tribe

My 10 years’ experience as a support consultant (EXO and other products), combined with prior experience working in accounting has given me a ‘well-rounded’ ability to understand what our clients are trying to achieve and support them in finding the best solution. I consider I have the right personality to work in support and find it easy to communicate with clients and the team around me to find the best service for our clients.

Aside from work, my upbringing in Parkes seems to forever provide tips on country living and lifestyle, in particular, cooking. I love my cats, dining out with friends and travelling to different countries.
